Simone Biles finally revealed to the world what most people suspected. She to was/is a victim of sexual abuse.

“Most of you know me as a happy, giggly & energetic girl. But lately… I’ve felt a bit broken & the more I try to shut off the voice in my head, the louder it screams. I am not afraid to tell my story anymore,” confessed Biles via an open letter shared on Twitter.

Biles suggested she struggled with sharing her story because she did not know how she would be viewed. Victims of sexual abuse are happy she has shared her story. It gives them a sense of empowerment.

Physician Nassar is currently facing 50+ years in prison for his role in multiple sexual assaults.
